At the heart of every Doulton Sterasyl® and British Berkefeld Water Filter Candle is the Anti-microbial formulation that specifically protects against microbiological growth on the ceramic. The highly consistent and controlled pore structure of the Sterasyl Water Filter candle filters a wide range of water-borne contaminants – particles, pathogenic bacteria, cysts, etc over the life of the filter. This formulation within the ceramic structure inhibits the growth of bacteria during usage.

We take utmost care in shipping our products to you, however since our Filter Candles are made of all natural mineral clays, they are fragile. There is a chance that they may break due to mishandling during transit.
Please report any Filter Candle damages/ breakages within 7 days of delivery to arrange for a replacement candle. Claims post this period will not be replaced by Doulton. No Returns or refunds will be applicable once the product is assembled and used.

TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids. It refers to the total concentration of all inorganic and organic substances that are dissolved in the water. These include minerals, salts, metals, and other compounds. It is an important indicator of water quality. High TDS levels in drinking water can affect its taste, appearance, and overall suitability for consumption.
Water that contains high levels of dissolved minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium ions is Hard Water. These minerals are picked up as water flows through rock and soil. The higher mineral content in hard water can lead to issues such as scaling in pipes and appliances, as well as reduced lathering of soaps and detergents.
It is now super easy to test the quality of your drinking water for its TDS score and hardness. The Government of India, under its Jal Jeevan Mission, has made Water Quality Labs accessible to general public. Simply search with your locality to find the Water Lab nearest to you and get it checked at a very nominal cost.
If your water source is borewell/tanker etc with TDS above 500 ppm, we do not recommend Doulton Water Filters.
